Monday 29.12.08 Back to work
Ola! Well . . . Back to work today. Had a lovely Christmas break. Very nice indeed. Plenty of stuff to keep me busy for the next couple of days.
Stayed at home over Crimbo so managed to keep the spending down to a minimum. It’s surprising how expensive visiting familiy can get!!!
Merry Christmas
Just a quicky. Wanted to wish all my many millions of regular readers a very happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year!

Unexpected train journeys
Nasty one yesterday. . . Car share friend got a touch of Christmasitis and had to go home a lunch, leaving me to foot a grim £10.20 train fare on the way home. Wouldn’t mind but I had to stand up most of the way. The public transport in England leaves a lot to be desired!
DailySpends – Monday 22nd December
Jaffa Cakes – £0.60 (should have been £0.55 but the machine stole 5p)
Train fare – £10.20

Lunch – £3.06
Total = £3.06

Woke up this morning on the back of a dream about winning the Olympic Gold in the mens 4x100m. Brilliant dream! I could feek myself running and everything.
Christmas party – weekend spends
This weekend could easily have racked up a lot more of my budget . . . but I’m proud of myself that I took it ‘relatively’ easy and kept the costs down as far as possible:
Friday Night:
Food & wine – £15.00 (night in)
Saturday:
Family treat – £25.00 (Bribes so I could go to Christmas party)

*Note to employer: BRILLIANT party, thank you 🙂 Free beer always much appreciated.
Sunday:
Shirt for my son – £6.00
